Laptop Distribution Event for Students by Hashim Omar Foundation!
The 11th phase of the Hashim Omar Foundation’s initiative to provide laptops to university students across the country was held on Sunday, the 1st, at the foundation’s headquarters in Kollupitiya, Colombo. The laptops were distributed by the founder of the Hashim Omar Foundation, literary figure Hashim Omar.
During the event, laptops were handed over to:
- Enuli Senarathna, a student of the University of Kelaniya
- Ms. A.F. Asra, a student of the University of Peradeniya
- Ms. M.J. Jesla, a student of the University of Peradeniya
- M.M. Luthfa and Lubra, students of the South Eastern University
Several dignitaries participated in the event, including Thinakaran Weekly Editor-in-Chief Senthil Velavar, Vasantham TV News Manager Siddique Haniffa, poet Maeman Kavi, Kanchipuram Thyagaraja, K. Ponnuthurai, event coordinator Aaqib, along with the students’ parents and media personnel.
